Bob Sikes Bridge Toll — Pensacola Beach

$1 toward the beach, free coming back. Cash, SunPass, and how bad the weekend backup gets.

2 min read · Locally written

You can’t get to Pensacola Beach without crossing the Bob Sikes Bridge from Gulf Breeze. The toll is cheap. The wait on a July Saturday is not. Here’s the practical version.

The toll

$1 cash or SunPass when you’re going TO the beach (southbound onto Santa Rosa Island).

No toll coming back toward Gulf Breeze / Pensacola.

There’s a staffed booth and an unstaffed / SunPass-style lane — have cash ready if you’re not on SunPass. Exact change helps when the attendant line is moving.

When it backs up

Peak: summer Saturdays and holidays, roughly 9–11:30am outbound and 4–7pm inbound.

If you’re day-tripping from Pensacola, leave before 9 or after lunch. Mid-afternoon arrivals are underrated.

Big events (air show, holidays, concerts on the beach) turn the bridge into a parking lot — check our events calendar the night before.
