How to See the Blue Angels in Pensacola
The Navy's flight demonstration team is based here. Here's how to watch them for free.
The Blue Angels train from Pensacola almost every week from March through November. Yes, you can watch — for free — most Tuesday and Wednesday mornings when they're in town.
Free practice viewing
Most Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 11:30am (weather permitting), you can watch practice from behind the Naval Aviation Museum. Free admission, free parking. Get there by 10:30am for a good spot.
After practice, the pilots usually sign autographs at the museum — check the museum's schedule before you go.
The big shows
Pensacola Beach Air Show — July over the Gulf, watched from Casino Beach and hotel balconies.
NAS Pensacola Homecoming Show — November on base, biggest show of the year.
The museum itself
National Naval Aviation Museum: free, three floors, 150+ aircraft including four original Blue Angel A-4 Skyhawks hanging from the atrium.
