Palafox Market is the Saturday morning habit for a lot of Pensacola: produce, baked stuff, crafts, plants, and food trucks on and around MLK Plaza / North Palafox. It’s free to walk. Bring a bag and some cash.
When & where
Saturdays, roughly 9am–2pm (vendors start packing earlier when it’s dead hot or pouring).
Centered on MLK Jr. Plaza and the blocks of North Palafox just north of downtown’s main restaurant strip.
Year-round, weather permitting. Holiday weeks and named storms can cancel — if the sky looks apocalyptic, check local socials that morning.
What to expect
Farm produce, eggs, bread, coffee, prepared food, local crafts, art, plants. Mix changes with the season.
It’s busy from opening until about 11. After noon it’s thinner and easier with a stroller.
Dogs on leash are common; keep them out of food booths.
Parking
Street meters and nearby lots/garages. Weekend downtown parking is easier than a weekday lunch rush, but the blocks right on the market fill first.
Park a few blocks south on Palafox and walk up — usually faster than circling for a front-row spot.
After the market
You’re already downtown — coffee, brunch, or a walk through Seville Square is the usual second act.
Third Friday Gallery Night is a different animal (evening, art-focused). Don’t confuse the two.
